With more than 10 years of experience delivering career guidance to young and mid-career professionals, Sharon has a passion for investing in others and helping them to achieve their career ambitions.

Sharon started Swabb Career Consulting LLC to provide practical and individualized direction to professionals at critical points in their career. Whether you are striving to secure that first job, seeking a promotion, or making a mid-career shift, she is excited to work with you. She understands and values that every career path is unique, which is why she offers goal-oriented strategies tailored to your specific needs and long-term vision.

Prior to becoming a career consultant, Sharon worked in higher education at The George Washington University (GW), where she advised graduate students at the GW Elliott School of International Affairs on how to successfully pursue their career ambitions. She also has served as a career advisor to graduate students at Syracuse University, Texas A&M University, the University of California, San Diego, and the University of Maryland through her work with the Robertson Foundation for Government. Sharon's experience in academia extends to undergraduate populations through her volunteer service as a professional development mentor with the University of Georgia and her leading of career workshops through Howard University's Rangel Summer Enrichment Program.
Earlier in her career, Sharon served in the Federal Government, working first for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and later for the Presidential Personnel Office at the White House. This experience has made her especially eager and adept at supporting job seekers who are interested in careers in local, state, or the Federal Government. Sharon also has a background in international relations, having studied it both at the University of California, San Diego and the University of Georgia.

Originally from Georgia, Sharon now calls Columbus, Ohio home and enjoys time spent with her family and their host of dogs and cats. She also is active in her local church community and volunteers with a Columbus-based dog rescue organization.
